"This is going to be the toughest week this semester." I thought to myself last Sunday morning.
QuizBowl, thesis final defense, quizzes, etc.
But my main concern that time was the QuizBowl on Tuesday. I thought I can not join because I haven't studied even a single chapter. But I prayed that I really wanted to join the QuizBowl. On the afternoon, it was an individual group program in order for the groups to get ready and have a mock QuizBowl. I did not able to answer most of the questions. I only answered 5% correctly. (hahaha) But I was so happy and encouraged when our main leader said, "Vim, apil jud ka hah (you must join). I'm giving you 2 nights to study both books." And I was like, "Okay kuya. :D" I felt really happy even though he knew that I hadn't studied but he wanted me to join and enjoy the event. The special night came. On September 25, I arrived at church @ 6:15 PM. I knew I'll join answering the questions on the second half. I studied while the first half was going on. Then the second half came, and yeah, I joined. I was really having fun answering the questions. Laughing at my wrong answers, rejoicing when I get correct answers. Then, after all the questions, all groups are gathered for the announcement of winners. We were so excited 'cause until the 4th place, our group had not been called. So the top three main leaders were asked to stand in front: main leaders of WINBBC, Galatia 1, and our group, RHODES 4. The 3rd place was announced ~> WINBBC. Then the announcement of the second place was full of nervousness and excitement. "The second place goes to. . .Group 1!"
We shouted and rejoiced! We got the first place! Congratulations to Rhodes 4! Then, picture taking of the champions followed. ^_^
It was a victorious night. I was really happy.

I got home and another concern was filling up my mind ~ thesis.
There were some problems with it, and I was really thinking if we'll defend or not.
On Tuesday, the decision was "defend".
So, I tried to finish all paperworks on Wednesday, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
We were going to defend on Thursday, so I only had 1.5 hours of sleep.
We felt nervous before the defense but I prayed and prayed for everything to go well.
During the defense, everything went well and our dean said the words we wanted to hear, "Congratulations! You passed."
And we were so happy. I was so thankful with the LORD.
I had joy in my heart.
He answered my prayers.
I said to myself, "What a victorious week."
It was a tough yet victorious week.
