Seducing Mr. Perfect

I super love this movie. Very, very funny and cute. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Not your typical Korean movie wherein the princess is all cute, and has got long hair that wears cute apparel and others. But this one, it's kind of a bit more mature in their appearance because of the setting that is in the workplace. I mean, those garments worn by the people working in a company. (haha) Couldn't explain it more clearly, but just imagine those clothes worn by company personnels, in contrast to those typical cute and colorful Korean fashion. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

The characters also, it's the first time I met them. Really, both of them. As I searched about them, I found out that Uhm Jung Hwa is ten years older than Daniel Henney. And it's not even obvious! Daniel Henney also starred in some famous Korean movies that I haven't watched yet. (I'll watch them when I'm in the mood. haha)

Words do not always express one's feelings.
People can lie with words, but not with their eyes.

Robin Heiden was assigned as the president in the company where Min Joon was working. Min Joon was assigned as his assistant. One time, when they were riding a taxi, Min Joon was calling her boyfriend but her boyfriend did not answer. So Robin told her that her boyfriend was cheating on her cuz that's what he does when he cheats (haha).

They talked about the matter, and Robin was saying all sort of hurtful words to her saying that she's being pathetic, too sensitive, and doesn't have self-respect. Then Min Joon, being in rage already, said that she could have many guys in line begging for her if she wanted to. Then Robin said, "Then make me beg for you." It was some sort of a challenge and a tease to her.

So that's how the "Seducing Mr. Perfect" began. As time passes, Robin, little by little, fell for her and spent more time with her.

they look amazing together. hahaha
Then their feelings grew. And automatically they were together. (haha) So Robin came and visited Min Joon's family.

The conversation went like this:
Dad: Son, what I want to ask is: Do you love my daughter?
Robin: Yes, sir!
Mom: He said yes!
Dad: So the reason you are visiting us is because you want to marry my daughter?
Robin: No, it's not that. I do love Min Joon, it's just that I have no intention of marrying her. . .just yet.
Bro: He said he loves her, but he doesn't want to marry her.
Mom: What is that supposed to mean?
Dad: (angry at Robin, haha) Get out! Get out, you mannerless brat!
(hahaha)

Her brother actually ruined the moment, without fully understanding what Robin was saying. (haha)
And they lived happily ever after. (hahaha)

The Day My Wallet Died

A typical student's income is her allowance.
Students don't really focus a hundred percent reading every letter of their books and reviewers. They, I mean we (hehe), spend money on other things. Some useful, some not. It depends on the interest of an individual student. Some also save, some spend - a lot, and others save for many months and spend at one time. And the last one perfectly describes me. :D

December! - the month of promo and sale in big percentage discounts!
Since Decembreak is here (yeay!), we went to SM City Cebu and some other stores for some things. And there's this one thing that's kinda expensive for a student to buy, and most students really don't care and don't have interest on this one. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Well, it's a sewing machine what I'm talking about. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

First thing. I was talking about this to my classmates and one of them told me about a stapler that functions as a sewing machine. Then I thought, "Wow! It's an amazing and unique discovery huh. :D".

While I was surfing the internet about sewing machines, I found this Stapler Mini Sewing Machine at a very affordable price. So I bought one for me.

It is shaped like an ordinary stapler and is also used in the same manner. But, the difference is that you have to use it upside down like this one below. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

When I read that "Made in China", I reasoned to myself that not only almost all common things are made in China, but they also have some unique inventions. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

This afternoon, after we received the item above, we went to the SM City Cebu Department Store to buy this one below. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

JML Easy Stitch Max sewing machine. This is on sale, and we bought this for P3,699.75. The original price is P5,999, so "grabbing the opportunity", we decided to purchase one. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

It has an amazing features (an appreciation that comes from a beginner. hehe). Let me list these that are listed at the side of it's package.

stitch speed adjustment
seven stitch patterns
reverse sewing
work light
foot pedal for precise control
protector and magnification feature
hide away out of sight
bobbin winding is easy
supplied with: adapter, two bobbins, needle, foot pedal, threader, bobbin pin for rewinding

these are the included accessories
A manual is also included inside. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

When I was about to pay to the cashier, they told me to apply an advantage card for P150, and added that I will get high points with the item I'm buying. So, I applied and they gave me one tote bag.

One reusable bag could be given that time if they weren't out of stock. So, I can claim that reusable bag and my card after three (3) weeks. And that's one card for me in additional to my Laking National Card(ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

So, that's how my savings were spent on a December of 2012. I hope there will be no major expenses this 2013. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

...ing

One thing I find unique with this movie is that I feel like it has some kind of relation to my most favorite Korean actress, Moon Geun Young. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
How is that so?
The very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw Kim Rae Won's name at the beginning of the movie was, "Oh, Kim Rae Won. MGY's partner in the movie, My Little Bride!" Then flashed the name, Lee Mi Sook on the screen and I thought, "The mother of Song Eun Jo in Cinderella's Sister!" (haha) Then after watching the drama, as I searched about the cast in the movie (as I usually does every after movie/drama I watch), I confirmed my own findings with my own (haha :D), that Im Soo Jung was the older sister of MGY in The Tale of Two Sisters. I didn't recognize her for I haven't watched that movie yet, nor have I any plans in watching that movie. I kinda hate horror movies. They frighten me off to my bones. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) You may say that, "Wae? Can't actors and actresses in different movies be in the same film? That must be a coincidence!" Well, yeah, it could be. But as I watch the movie, I could see a bit of MGY in Im Soo Jung's angles, especially sideviews. And when she smiles straight up front to the camera, I could see Jang Geun Suk's smile. (hehe) (JKS, MGY's partner in the drama Marry Me, Mary.) I don't know. Could it be that her face is a combination of JKS and MGY? hahaha. Okay, so much for that. Let's get back to the movie. . .

Love is like this...
Someone you love gets hit by a car and killed one rainy day.
After that, you can't leave the accident site.
You go there to direct traffic thinking about your love.
Never missing a single day; crying when it's raining.

A sweet story with a sad ending. Kang Mina had a disease. Though it was not mentioned specifically what disease she had, her mother, Mi Suk, said that she was going in and out of the hospital since she was born.

Mina met Lee Yeong Jae who just moved in in the apartment they were staying. Yeong Jae liked Mina when he saw her for the first time. Then, as Yeong Jae kept on bugging Mina, she gradually fell in love with him. They spent time together, and had fun. It brought happiness to "the disease princess, Mina".

Mina, who didn't know until when she could live, spent more time with Yeong Jae and with her mother. She fainted a number of times until her body gave in, leaving Yeong Jae and her mother behind.

At the end, it was showed that the two were crying bitterly thinking about the loss of Mina, holding the precious things Mina treasured while she was alive (and kicking). hahaha

But one thing that kinda turned me off is the idea of them smoking, especially Mina. But it was only at the beginning of the story. Don't let this turn you off. Go on and watch the movie. :D

The story is so, so sweet. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
Sweet as the two together, spending time and sharing joy, watching the sunset beside one another. (hahaha)

(print screen is one of my addictions while watching movies/dramas.) haha

so sweet. posting Mina's photos on his wall. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

The Delicious Korean Food Shoppe

There's this new stall in the food court of our uni. While it was still under "beautification", we noticed that the paint colors are different from the rest of the stalls -- pink and yellow. So, I was wondering what kind of stall will it be and the type of food they're going to serve.
When the stall opened on its first day, I was oblivious to it, for I usually bring my own lunch (to save money and spend it for books :D).
Until one not-so-tiresome afternoon, during our University Days, we tried their smoothie. That was the time that I took notice on their stall, its colors, the equipments, and the owner. The owner and his son were there when we ordered smoothie for each of us. So then, it was confirmed that the owner is Korean.

the smoothie and slush machine
When we settled to our seats and started enjoying the smoothie, we noticed the cups and straws were so cute. The cups were colorful and the straws were both light pink and blue. And at the bottom of the straw, there was a small spoon-like structure wherein you can scoop the ice of the smoothie. And I thought, I don't usually see this kind of straw here. So I was delighted that I was using a "Korean straw". (LOL, hahaha)

the cups and straws
Today, at lunch, I tried their meal. I ordered Chili noodles for P69. While the Filipino tinderas were preparing our food, I closely observed them how they prepared the noodles. The noodles' pack was colored yellow Ramyeon sari was written as I read it.

Ramyeon Sari image source
Then I was surprised when they put the noodles not in a kitchen bowl but in a bowl wrapped in foil (well, I don't know how to call it :D). Then they placed the bowl on the "Korean equipment", and I asked what was that called and they know not either. :D

the amazing equipment that nobody knows the name :D (haha)
I was amazed, and still am, on how the equipment works. You press the button directed by the arrow and the hot water comes out at the exact volume for the noodles, that it won't spill nor was not enough.

push the button and the hot water pours down
I was expecting them to cover it and wait for few minutes just like most of the no-need-to-cook noodles or those cup noodles. But I was astonished at this part: the water started to boil and they were mixing the noodles with the chopsticks. There's heat below where the bowl was placed. (COOL :D) While doing so, I asked them the permission to take pictures with their stall and without hesitation, one tindera said yes. So, I took pictures until I was satisfied. :D Then the boiling and the mixing continued until three beeps were heard. That was the sign that the cooking was done. And WOW! was what I thought.

mixing the noodles
After that, they prepared a tray, then placed tissue, fork, soup spoon, chopsticks, the noodles, kimchi, and rice.

before
I enjoyed the meal a lot, although it was really spicy. :D

after :D
And yeah, my stomach was really really full. And I was thinking, did it slightly ruined my diet? hahaha

Just this Monday, they gave out flyers for their promo.

So, I ordered cream pasta and I also took a picture of them preparing for the customers' orders. :D

This one order was more then enough for me! I was so, so full! hahaha
